My baby is ONE!!!

I can not believe Mason is one already. He is so funny these days. He calls everyone and everything Dada. He only says mama when he really needs me. He loves to talk to everyone he sees and he is so so nosey when we go places. He has to check it all out.

We went to the doctor this week for his check up and everything was great he has hit that spurt where they stay the same size for a while. I was a little surprised that his weight had not increased since his 9 month visit but the doc said not to worry. He is growing very well and all his stats are right on track for his age. He does say Mason will be pretty tall (like we didn't know that.) Everyone thinks he is older that he really is because he is so tall.

I am having the best time with him. We go to Gymboree on Mondays and I am sweating by the end cause I am running around after him. We enrolled in school (aka-Mother's day out) this week. He starts next fall just a few hours a week. I can't wait to see him interacting with the other kids.

* loves to feed himself all kinds of foods even dirt now and then.

* officially a walker now and realizes it may be better than crawling (is was getting worried :)

*LOVES to dance. he wiggles his booty when he hears music.

*still loves his mommy to snuggle him when he wakes up in the morning

E-I-E-I-O Party part 1

We had the best day ever and the best party ever. All our friends and family came to help celebrate (we missed you uncle Joel.) I am so happy to have so many people around us that love our little boy. Thanks to GiGi and Aunt Sassy for helping get things ready around the house, Shane for cooking and LaLa and Huck for getting all the balloons to the party.

Today is the big day!!! Mason turned 1 at exactly 2:28 am. Tomorrow is the big party.

I can not believe it has been a whole year since Mason was born. I am sitting here waiting for him to get up (he had a late night playing) and I am amazed at how fast this year has gone. He has been the best baby ever. Oh sure there are time I wanted to pull my hair out but they are few. I never imagined being a mommy would be this fufilling. I have been able to stay at home with him this whole time and I have cherrished every moment. Thank you, Jarrod, for allowing me this amazing gift. I don't know how it can get any better.

A year ago........

Well what was I doing this time last year?????? Wishing Mason would HURRY UP and get here. I thought his birthday would never come. I was looking back at pictures and realized how huge I was. I loved being pregnant and I love being Mason's mommy. I can not believe how fast this year has gone. So here is a little reminder of last year.

It also snowed right about this time last year too. It snowed again on the 7th or 8th while we were in the hospital. How crazy is that?
