Growing fast

Here are photos to show how Mason is growing and filling out. There is one from almost every week of his life. I wanted to see them side by side so I could compare. He was very skinny at first and now I think his face is fattening up. He does like to eat :)

ONE month old!!!

1 month check up stats:
weight 9.14 lbs ( I know he weighs more like 11 lbs now)
length 22 1/2 in
head 15 in

He eats about every 3 hours in the day and will sleep about 6 hours after I put him down at night. He wakes up for one feeding and we go back to sleep for a few more hours (we sleep late).

We are a little late with this post but here it is. Mason is officially 1 month old. I can not believe how time flies. He is the best baby. I know everyone says that about there children but Mason really is a great baby. He LOVES to eat and sleep. What can I say he gets it honest. He knows night vs day and he will eat from anything that provides food. I am still nursing but he takes a bottle like a champ even if it is cool. Mason also likes his car seat. This is great because I am always going somewhere. He enjoys bath time. I think the warm water feels good because he loves to sit and soak. If he fusses while in the tub I will pour water on his tummy and he is happy again. He is pretty happy all day long. He only gets fussy when he is hungry or sleepy. He gets grumpy around 9 pm so that is when I feed, swaddle and put him down for bed. Jarrod and I are having so much fun watching him grow and develop his own personality. I really enjoy being home with Mason all day. He is growing so fast I don't want to miss anything.

big bath

Mason is now able to have a bath in his tub. I was bathing him in the bottom of our sink because he could not keep his head steady. He makes some crazy faces but he really does like the water. If you notice the tub is really full. He likes to just sit and soak in the warm water. Don't worry I won't let him drown :)

I owe Jarrod a big THANK YOU. He kept Mason all by his self the other night so I could go out. My dad and I went to hear Jackson Waters play downtown. I grew up and went to church with the lead singer. I called home and sent several text messages to check in but Jarrod told me to stop worrying. When I got home I found them both asleep in the recliner. I also want to thank dad for going with me. We had a great time.

Tummy Time

I thought I would let Mason have some tummy time on his special blanket. My grandmother handstiched a blanket for him. Zoey thought she would have some tummy time too:) Then Zoey got bored and decide she wanted Mason to play.

My mamaw Opie got to visit Mason for the first time today. It was so sweet to see her holding him. She thought he was just perfect. Of course she thought I was not keeping him warm enough. I think Mason is the 9th great grandchild on my dad's side of the family.




My dear friend Sarah came all the way from OK City to visit Mason. I am so glad she got to meet him. We had a great time visiting and catching up on old times. Sarah and I went out with the girls for a little Mommy's night out. We went to Brave New Resurant and enjoyed chatting away over good food and friendship. I hope you will come back very soon Sarah. I miss the laughfests we used to have :)




Uncle Joel and Aunt Melissa finally got to come visit. I did not get a pic of Mel holding the baby but I will say she was a big help with him while they were here. Who knows maybe a Parrish cousin is not too far in the future.
