Welcome Mary Elizabeth

We are so excited for our friends Drew and Erin Dees. Their precious little girl was born December 21st at 5:12 AM. I of course headed to the hospital as soon as I got the text message that she had arrived. She is so perfect. Erin and Drew seem to be doing great. This all makes me a little nervous about the upcoming birth of our own little one. I have 2 months left and I have so much to do. I hope we get it all together :)

We went and had the 4D ultra sound today. Everything looks perfect. He is measuring large. She said if he goes to my due date and keeps gowing like this he should weigh between 8 1/2 to 9lbs. He looks like he is due more around Feb. 25th. Shea checked all the signs and said that the baby is doing great and so am I. Thank you so much to Jarrod and my dad for doing this for my birthday. I couldn't ask for a better present.

Baby pics

Thanks to Molly and her Aunt Kelly we were able to go get some extra ultra sound pics. Peanut was not cooperating very well. He kept his legs folded and his face turned to the back but she managed to get a few. We now know he is measuring about 8 days ahead. She told me he has a big head and belly (that should be fun). His heart rate is still right at 150 and strong. We also found out that he might be named BIG FOOT!!! his foot measured at 2in already. I still have 15 more weeks :)

I have put off taking a belly shot because I was waiting till I actually looked preggo and not just fat. I am 25 weeks now so I thought it was about time. Pardon the no make-up look it has been a long day.

Halloween

We had a great time trick or treating with Will. Zoey was dressed as Patsy Cline and she pretty much hated every minute. Jarrod was Brick Tamlin and I was a bowling ball (funny huh). Thanks to the Harry's for the party and treats. Ashley always pulls something good together.

Furniture

Well we have made a few BIG purchases in the last few weeks. We ordered the chair for the nursery and it is so cozy. That will be great for Jarrod on those long nights:) We went today to order the crib and dresser. The picture here shows it in white but we ordered it in cherry. I think it will be really cute.

Little Peanut is already getting presents. Thanks Kerri, Shane and Will for the camo socks. I can't wait for him to wear them all. Thanks David and Lauren for the "Little Man" onsie. I think he should wear it at the hospital so everyone will notice :) We are so blessed to have great friends.

Ok, so I am trying not to buy too much stuff but when it is cute and on sale I can't help it.

New additions !

Baby James Ingram (my cousin's baby), was born Wednesday, October 24th. He weighed 7lbs 9ozs. Jarrod and I went to ElDorado this past wekend to visit. It was Mamaw Jean's 82nd birthday and everyone came to town. Jarrod finally got to see little Tripp and we both met James for the first time. He is so cute and tiny. It was a little reality shock for Jarrod and I. We realized in 4 months we would have one that tiny in our own home :)

Movin' and Shakin'

I finally felt the baby move last week. I knew I was feeling little bumps here and there but last Monday he decided to flop and kick all around. I was trying to listen with my little fetal monitor and while I was holding it to my belly he did a flip. I even held my hand down on my belly and he kicked my hand. Jarrod was a little freaked out and said I was pushing on his head. The next night he was flipping around again and I actually got Jarrod to put his hand on me and when he did the baby kicked him too. Peanut likes to kick and move around lunch time, sometimes after school, and then again at about 11:00. It is so weird to feel him move around I told jarrod it was like having an alien in my tummy.

Daddy has been shopping!!!

Jarrod came home with a suprise tonight. He went shopping at Target and found stuff for the baby. It is his first official Daddy purchase. The shoes are too cute. The bib is another story cause Jarrod had no idea what it said but he thought it would be funny. We looked up the translation on the net and it said something like "Master of my older sister." I guess that is his message to his older sister Zoey (the dog).

Nursery

I picked out the fabrics for his bedding the other day. My sister in law's mom makes bedding and she wants to make the bedding for our little one. I am so excited because she is awesome and I know she will do a super job. I can't wait to get it all together.

baby "No Name"

Ok, everyone wants to know the baby's name and we can not decide on one we really like. Well, I like several names but I can't get Jarrod to settle on one. I know his middle name is going to be Fike after my mom's dad, Papaw "Dub." It's unique and meaningful.
So we need your help. Post your thoughts. The list is still pretty long but Jarrod only likes the first three names. This list could completely change tomorrow :) If you have a good name to share please do.

It's Official

Happy early birthday to Jarrod. Tomorrow is his 31st birthday and we went to the doctor for an ultrasound today. Jarrod would have been happy either way but he sure was excited to find out...

IT'S A BOY!!!!!

Everything looked great and they think he weighs about 9oz. He is already measuring five days ahead of schedule. The due date is still set for March 11th. His heart rate was 152. It has stayed right around that number the last two visits. It was cool seeing him move around because I still can not really feel him move yet. He stretched his back and punched his hands in the air. It even looked like he waved at us a few times. We think he was holding his hands up to "call the Hogs." I am glad my dad got to be there today. He was so excited. I hope you enjoy the pictures :)

We've got the BEAT!!!

I am 12 weeks now and we went to the doctor at 10 weeks for my second check up. The doctor was able to hear the baby's heartbeat right away. He said it sounded really good and it was twice as fast at mine was. Jarrod was really hoping to hear 2 different heartbeats but I think there is just one. If I get an ultrasound that actually shows the baby I'll post it. I can't wait to find out if it is a boy or a girl. Everyone says I need a girl. I just hope it is healthy and happy:)

Mr. Tripp

I went to stay a few nights and babysit Mr. Tripp so Alison and Clark could get some sleep. These are just a few pictures I took while I was there. I call these pics "Baby Burrito" "Huh" and "Go Hogs." He was such a great baby and we had fun playing. He slept for 2 and 3 hour stretches. I just hope our baby is like Tripp at night. He would barely squeak when he woke up. I hear he is having tummy problems this week and he has not been very happy. I might have to go the the rescue again =)

All the Kids

I thought I would show off some of my favorite kids. My friends have the best kiddos and I love visiting with them. I think they are some of the cutest ever. We are waiting for a few more to arrive (babies Atkins, Dees, and Parrish) so we can add them to the list

I see you!!

I am so excited because Mr. Steven Clark Burton III ( aka Tripp) arrived today, July 24th at 1:15 pm. Tripp's Mommy is my first cousin Alison (more like sister) . I am so glad Tripp did not come while we were on vacation last week. I knew he would wait for me :) Alison did SO great today and I am so pround of her. I know she and Clark will be great parents and I hope they will have lots of great advice for us when we become parents in March. I wish I lived closer but I am sure I will be able to steal some more kisses soon.

I thought I would post a few pictures of our fist baby. This is Miss Zoey Grace and she is the ruler of the Parrish household. WE love this little dog so much I hope she does well when the baby comes and I hope you enjoy her cuteness as much as we do.
