Mason update

We went to the doctor today for my 38th week visit. I have not progressed any more than before but we did get good news.....

We are going to be inducing Wednesday, March 5th!!!!!!

I am so glad. I had a scare Sunday night and I though I was in labor. We almost went to the hospital cause my back was hurting so bad along with contractions. Turns out it was a false alarm. I am pretty miserable but I guess I can hang in there one more week. We are both so excited and nervous. We still have a few honey do list things but we are ready. Our bags are packed and ready to go. I hope we make it through the weekend uneventful because my Dr. is out of town. So come by Baptist Wednesday afternoon to visit.

Here is Mason's bag for the hospital. Yes, I know I am a dork but I want to remember everything about this crazy time.

Here is the HUGE belly. Zoey thinks it is a seat for her.

37 weeks

I went to the Dr. this past Wednesday and things still look the same. I just knew there would be more progress. I have been having contractions like crazy. Dr. Singleton wants me to wait one more week and see how things progress naturally. He wants me to come back Wed. and then we may see about inducing the first week of March. I just don't want to go into labor over the weekend of the 29th because the Dr. will be out of town. So it looks like Mason will be a March baby after all.

Where the WILD Things Are....

We finally got the picture for Mason's room. I thought I would share. I think it is going to be super cute.

Favorite Book

Thanks Melissa and Greg for this awesome book for Mason. The book tells how the animals picked just the right name for the baby. It spells out Mason's entire name letter by letter. I think it is the cutest present ever. Go to www.iseeme.com to find out more.

Goodies for Mason

Here are some of the great things Mason got at the shower. We got a lot of clothes. Ashley Harry made the cute burb cloths and Mrs. Virginia made him a pillow, blanket and burp cloth to match his room. We got lots of toys and plenty of bags diaper bags. I had so much fun getting it all out and looking at it again. I have trouble sleeping here lately so i stayed up putting all his things away.

Little Rock shower

All I have to say is I feel so loved. I had a great shower this weekend and we got a lot of wonderful things for Mason. I really do have the best girlfriends ever. So many friends and family came to help celebrate. I want to thank Mrs. Lana for opening her home for the shower. The decorations and food were fabulous. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

36 weeks

Well we are 36 weeks now and we went to the doctor yesterday. Everything looked great and BIG!! He wanted us to do another ultrasound because I was measuring 40 weeks already and he wanted to look at Mason again. Well the ultra sound predicted 7lbs 13oz. I was 50% effaced and dilated to 1cm. I know that is not much but it is more than nothing. We may be inducing the last week of Februay because Dr. Singleton thinks he is going to be pretty big. I have been having braxton hicks contractions like crazy. Last night I was up until 4 am and they were coming very regular. They finaly went away and I fell asleep. They are getting much stronger but they don't really hurt. Hopefully they are progressing things along more.

Home sweet home

Well last week we had a little drama. I was 35 weeks and I found out on Tuesday that my blood pressure was pretty high. When I went to school on Wednesday I got the nurse to check it. It was 137/100. I called the doctor and he said if it does not go down in a little while to go home and rest until my appointment that afternoon. Well it did not go down it went up so I was sent home at 10:30. When I got to the doctor it had gone back down to normal but he wanted me to stay home and rest for a week or so. I was not expecting this but I am glad he did it. I feel SO preggo right now and I think if I had to get up and get dressed everyday for work I would be so zapped by the time I got to school. I am just hanging out with Zoey and waiting on Mr. Mason to make his appearance. We also had an ultrasound and Mason looked perfect. He weighed about 7.3 ALREADY. I know this can be off by several ounces but I think he is going to be pretty big. I go to the Doctor tomorrow for my first "check" so I'll know more after that.
